I know I know…until about a month ago I had never gotten a facial. I think it’s because I have never liked to spend money on things that I really don’t need. However, recently I have discovered the joy of pampering myself. Sure, it might cost money to get your hair and nails done or go to the spa, but it can be rewarding! These are all things that make me feel better about myself and relieve stress, so why not?
SO, my first facial!
I went to Laka Skin Care & Spa for a facial and massage. I recorded my experience, so make sure you check out the video below!
I received a 75 minute “Customized Luxury Facial”, which was heavenly! My aesthetician, Hideko, was so sweet and gave me one of the greatest massages of all time.
The description of my facial:
“The service provides a custom blend of highly intensive organic ampoules with our water ionic peel masque, and is applied by using our technologically advanced facial machines to nourish your skin.”
My skin definitely felt nourished afterwards! And lets talk about after…at the end of my service, I was led to their Tatami room and was given a complimentary tray of refreshments that included a cup of ionized water, a cup of hot Tulsi tea, and a scoop of black sesame seed flavored gelato. You all know how much I love food and tea! It was a perfect end to the wonderful service.
I have decided to return at least a few times a year to add some extra relaxation and pampering into my life. I didn’t know what I was missing out on!
