New Soondubu: Seoul Tofu House

Tom & I are BIG soondubu fans. It’s one of the Tom’s most frequent cravings, so we actually go quite a bit. And now, there’s a new spot in town for us to get it.

Seoul Tofu House opened in Waikiki just a couple of weeks ago, and it’s already a big hit. It is a Korean restaurant that specializes in authentic Seoul-style soft tofu stew- soondubu.

Let me tell you…this place is fantastic!

There are 11 flavors to choose from, and from the 3 that I’ve tried so far, all of the flavors are on point! You can also customize the spiciness level from regular to danger.

The Soondubu Bansang is $13.99 and includes your choice of soondubu, rice, side dishes (banchan), Korean seaweed, and an egg.

Soondubu isn’t the only thing offered at Seoul Tofu House! They actually have a fairly extensive menu with a variety of BBQ dishes- kalbi, spicy chicken, soy sauce pork, spicy pork, squid stir fry, rib patties and more.

Seafood pancakes, meat jun, and pork kimchee pancakes are also on the menu.

All of the food that we had was wonderful, & I have a feeling this might be our new go-to Soondubu spot. I can’t wait to go back!

*Pro tip: A 20% discount is offered to all employees of Waikiki and 10% discount for kama’aina.

**They also just started offering 99 cent beers from 3-5:30pm!

Seoul Tofu House is located street level of the new Laylow hotel.
